I have a slightly unusual situation . I am an international student with undergraduate in Electrical Engineering and I could not give pgre tests this time. However I do have research experience in physics (Quantum Information/Foundations), from which I have published a first author paper. I wish to apply to graduate schools in physics or CS in Quantum Information. Some schools I am considering for physics do not require pgre, but recommend it. I am worried that I might not get into any physics programs. What level of schools I should apply for physics ? and CS? I am also considering to apply to Canadian universities for masters in physics as well. Would I fare better if I apply to Canada?
