Post by damdum » Mon Apr 13, 2015 8:49 pm

Just thought I'd get a thread started for the April 2015 test.

How are you guys feeling/how's the last week cramming session going?

Just took it. Wasn't awful. Some weird questions. Fairly similar to the 2008. What did y'all think?

I took it today (Israel, we don't do these things on Saturday). Wasn't difficult, weird questions and a few that were not worth the time spent on (learn to identify and skip those). Also, quite a lot of --deleted-- that I guess were not trivial for Physicists but are bread and butter for --deleted--.

Yeah, more --deleted-- than expected. Also, I chuckled out loud when I read the --deleted-- question. That was a good one. I'm guessing the curve will be slightly harsher than the 2008 but similar.

A lot of questions felt familiar, yeah. Does anyone know when we can call to get our scores early?

This seems a bit late. They should be posted online by May 18th according to the GRE site. Is there any way to get them before then?

I think the scores-by-phone option might no longer be available. In the past though, when it was, you would be able to call and pay $12 to hear your scores on the phone during the weekend prior to the Monday where scores are released online. Since May is not a busy time for applications, I don't think it's really worth it to hear your score 2 days earlier, even if the option was available.

Got an 870, first time taking it. Mildly happy, thought I would do better for such an easy test. Considering taking again . . . . .
