  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

people received an offer and I didn't. Does that mean i'm rejected?
Stony Brook have sent offers to people since jan.18 according to thegradcafe.com. I also applied there and didn't get the notice.
Should I regard this fact as me being rejected? It was my reach school.
I don't know how they make decisions but considering deadline was jan 15. it's very quick.

Hard to say. Best bet is to look at what stony brook has done in the past, on gradcafe. It looks to be one that sends out acceptances over a longer period. No need to s**t yourself yet.

I got an acceptance early this week too, after only a few day of applying. My scores are not exceptional but I probably have strong LORs.
