Being polite while correcponding a professor

Being polite while correcponding a professor

Post by ali8 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:39 pm

Hi,

Normally, things goes like this:

- You send an inquiry to the professor
- He replies
- You send a "thank you".

I am wondering whether the last "thank you" is needed, given that the professor
is, in general, extremely busy, he even answer only two weeks after the first inquiry!

So I was thinking of not sending "thank you". What do you think?
