Hi Everyone-
I am new to this board since I unfortunately have to take the physics GRE in fall. I go to UW-Madison, so I have been fortunate enough to pick a few grad student's brains about the physics GRE. It sounds like a pretty horrible experience. I also personally took one of the published exams about a month ago(sat down in the library for three hours and took it. I did horrible. So before I put down anymore money I have to, is the ETS book really worth it? I would assume is contains pervious exams, which look like they already exist online anyway, so what is the point of the book?
So if someone can give me a good reason to buy the book, please let me know.
Thanks guys.
ETS Book, worth it or not?
The only tests that are officially released are
GRE0177
GRE8677
GRE9277
GRE9677
The ETS book has 3 of the 4, yet you seem to be able to find all four complete tests for free online with some googling. The book does give you some advice, but that's easy enough to find online as well.
Answer: Not worth it, unless it will cost you an equal amount to print off all the old tests!
