Sending GRE scores if you're reapplying to the same program?

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Sending GRE scores if you're reapplying to the same program?

Post by jabennett2194 » Thu May 30, 2019 6:00 pm

Hi all,

I'm reapplying next year to a lot of the same programs I was admitted to/rejected from this past cycle. I've gotten lucky with some saying they can find me a fee waiver. I was wondering if I will have to resend my GRE scores ($27 each) to the programs that I already sent my scores to this past cycle in the application process. I'll most likely reach out to each program specifically when next year's app cycle starts up, but I was just wondering if anyone can give me some hints from their personal experience reapplying. This way I can form a rough estimate of my anticipated cost of reapplying. Thanks!

Cheers
