question about score reports

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

question about score reports

Post by nonick » Tue Dec 30, 2008 6:06 am

OK, this may be a silly question, but does it matter if you have indicated the department code on the score reports, when you don't have to send them to the department?
I sent my scores a while ago, and at that time I assumed that they should all be sent to the Physics department - code 0808. However, later I saw that half of the places state that you shouldn't send them to the department, or they don't indicate any department codes. I thought that should not be a problem, but now when the deadlines are near, I am getting a bit paranoid.

So, how do you check if they have received your scores? Do you just call them?
