I like the part where they throw out a student's whole application because of an awkward sentence in the SOP. Scary! My SOP prolly has a lot of those... I was clueless what to say so I ended up trying to write 1000 words of nothing.

That's because the author said that they stars control everything we do, i.e. they self identified as an astrologist. As long as you didn't put in extraneous religious junk I think you're okay on that count.
