Canadian applicants

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Canadian applicants

Post by llsop » Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:51 pm

I know that technically Canadian applicants are considered international when applying to American schools, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if they look at Canadian stats similar as they do domestic, or do they compare Canadians to other international countries?

Obviously there are a lot more similarities in education between US vs Canada compared to say US vs. Asia, and needless to say our Physics GRE scores are nowhere near the delta-function-at-990 distribution that those Asian countries have.
