Should I repeat General GRE?

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Should I repeat General GRE?

Post by nik » Tue Nov 19, 2013 11:54 am

My GRE scores are as follow:

Quant: 164 (88%) :?
Verbal: 142 (16%)
AWA: 3.0 (15%)
Physics: 860 (80%)

Provided that the rest of my profile is better than just 'ok', should I repeat the General GRE?

If MIT EECS, then no. They don't require GRE/PGRE

Why would EECS at any university require PGRE?

I don't know... but from the catastrophic results of my applications, now I know the answer of the question I asked... YES

I think that's more due to your engineering undergrad than anything else.
