Notifying your attendance

This might sound a little uninformed, but how exactly to you notify the University of your choice that you will indeed attend the University? If you do not decline an offer, do they assume you will attend, or do you have to tell them? If so, when and how do you have to do this?

And to internationals: When will you start dealing with all your Visa-related issues?

You'd definitely have to notify them. There's generally some form (either electronic or paper) you need to fill out and submit or mail (and/or scan and email) them.

As for visas, I presume the school will send me some information after I officially accept the offer.

If you're declining the offer, I think its enough if you just email them.

If you do not decline an offer, but do not tell them, the offer will expire on April 15th, so DO NOT THINK that they will assume you will attend -- they will not.

There might be a form to send in, but either way, e-mail them as soon as you decide. Forms get lost in the mail, with e-mail you have a record.
