All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
Has anybody besides the initial acceptances last month heard from Cornell AP or Harvard AP, or the deathly silent Caltech AP? I have almost picked up the phone to ask if they are sending out any more acceptances, but I suffer under the paranoia that any contact with any department before a decision is in hand will result in instant rejection.
Re: All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
I just called Caltech APh today and apparently they are still trying to finalize the list...

I would guess that if you haven't heard anything from Harvard AP, it's a rejection, since they have already sent out a fair amount of acceptances, and the open house was last Friday. No idea what the situation is at Cornell or Caltech.

I sent an email to Cornell AP about a week ago.
They didn't respond.

Re: All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
Haven't heard anything from Columbia. I emailed Harvard in mid-feb and they said that most offers had already been made and I should feel free to pursue other options. Obviously we've been rejected at this point, but I really think its *** form to wait until so late to tell us.

Saw a few acceptances to Caltech's Applied physics yesterday in thegradcafe. Not sure, if they can be trusted though !

Re: All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
Almost everyone admitted seem to say that they were invited for a visit earlier. What about International students then ?
Re: All Quiet on the Applied Physics Front
I am not sure but I know that they did fly out at least one international student to Caltech just for the interview.drunkscientist wrote:Almost everyone admitted seem to say that they were invited for a visit earlier. What about International students then ?
