I made a video about applying for physics PhD's

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Not sure if this counts as spam, can be deleted if so

But I spose this forum was very useful to me, and I also mention it in the video. Here are some tips I accumulated on applying for physics PhD's. Hope it helps!

that's an amazing video, Janet! Cannot wait for another one!
can I ask you some questions about applying?
also in your Profile post, you say that you can share your statement of purpose, which would be of great help!

Hope to hear back from you!

OP is applying for applied physics, and her supervisors got deep connections with the U.S.
If you blindly take her advice when you are applying for competitive programs in Physics and Astronomy
Then I bet you would get total rejection
