Online school worth it?

  • This has become our largest and most active forum because the physics GRE is just one aspect of getting accepted into a graduate physics program.
  • There are applications, personal statements, letters of recommendation, visiting schools, anxiety of waiting for acceptances, deciding between schools, finding out where others are going, etc.

Do you pay for it?

You should look for a job and get the job offer first. Have all options on the table and decide.
At this moment, it is also very hard to get a good job.

Also, there is a difference between a conventional degree program that has to be taught online due to unforeseen circumstance, and a designed online degree program (think of those Coursera online degrees).

The former will still have equal value. After you graduate, people won’t ask whether you attend classes in person or online.

The latter, has the word (online) embedded in the degree. That is not as good.
