I've been trying to stay out of all of this, but typically when one is speaking about actual women, and not continuing the metaphor posed in the posted link, one does not speak of fellowships. Thus, all of this has probably been taken wildly out of context to be used as ammunition for this inane battle that is going on.

This particular thread, unlike many others, seems to have been going along nicely with a few facetious remarks.

I appreciated the humor in quiz's post, and grae's response was equally light hearted.

I DEFINITELY was not referring to grae313 or any other females in the application process. I was referring to the dating process and life in general! Male/female people, not male/female applicants.

I think most people would believe the statement I made. Even if they don't, it is not a strike against women, it's not offensive at all. It's just a fact of life.

Perhaps when I said "without a fellowship," it sounded like I was talking about admissions. Sorry, I just threw that in to be silly.
