Berkeley rejections?

I have noticed that some people on this forum have been rejected already for berkeley, and some accepted. I have also noticed that I probably have the lowest PGRE score of anyone who visits this forum (Woot! I'm #1 . I considered making a 500 Club thread similar to the 900 and 700 clubs, but I think I would be the only person in it...). Because of this, I assumed that I would be rejected. However I have not yet heard from them, so maybe I am waitlisted? I recieved an e-mail a long time ago stating that they were reviewing my application. I don't know why I wouldn't be outright rejected however, considering how poor of a student I am compared to others. Should I contact and ask them what my status is, or do graduate schools find this annoying?

Contact them to ask. Some graduate program secretaries will ignore you, but most are nice and will let you know your status.

At Davis and Syracuse, the secretaries have been wonderful. They have answered all my inquiries and such

I got my official Berkeley rejection today via email. However, I already knew by calling Ms. Sakima.

I applied to Syracuse same as you, multigoal. If you haven't heard by now you've probably been waitlisted as well. The secretary told me (and jdhooghe) that they'll begin reviewing applications again next week. Here's to another week of holding our breath.
