Turned down for the DOE CSGF. Not a huge surprise.

The email was extremely nice though, it encouraged me to apply again next year.

NDSEG web site says notifications will go out by email tomorrow (30 March). Good luck everyone.

Yeah, I saw that on their website too. I'm not particularly optimistic about my NDSEG chances, but I'm still nervously waiting for that e-mail tomorrow. And NSF might announce at the end of this week...

I bet it changes to "UPDATE - NDSEG Awards will be announced via email on March 31, 2009" in a few hours :/. At least they try to estimate, unlike the NSF people and their "early April".

Heh, well in that case I bet that they don't give me a fellowship and that they don't e-mail me in the next five minutes. C'mon, NDSEG, prove me wrong again.

Wow, actually I think they have a script that automatically changes it every few minutes or so, this is getting nutty.

I've been checking the NSF GRFP and NDSEG pages every few hours today.

Okay, now it seriously appears to be randomly alternating between that message and the March 30 or 31 message every time I refresh the page.

Mother of god. You are right. I'm guessing the latest scoop is sometime this week, which could mean tomorrow, but who the hell knows.
