Dear all, it is me again I have got a publication submitted to the APJ, but maybe some of you know, it will take quite a long time to review. The point is, would the admission Committee regard it as a publication, or should I upload to preprint site such as ARXIV to prove that I have really got a publication?

I would say write "undergoing review for publication in APJ" and don't forget to write the arxiv number and link the paper. That's what I did.
