At the start of last semester I attempted to do a project with a famous professor (he has an equation named after him), but it quickly turned out to be unsolvable. I ended up meeting up with him maybe 4 times over the span of a couple of weeks. He had no idea for a different project shortly thereafter so I changed groups.
I will not request a letter from him since I have 3 other people that know me much better. Nevertheless, if that were you, would include this in any shape or form in your resume when applying for internships or grad school? I feel as though it could actually hurt me by making me look volatile.
Should I put that on my resume?

How much better do these people know you? I had ... idk 7 people that know me super well. But I work with a HUGE name in the field right now, so my other advisors urged me to request a letter from him anyway, even for the only 3 letter schools. It worked well so far, got into 1 of my top choices.

2 of them I had worked with for a while and had actually made some progress, to an extent that I will be published. The third one is my advisor, who, since I'm a student in the UK, will be able to comment on my academic performance.
