This is a rhetorical question. You need to really take some time and strategize what you want to do. To answer the question: you get research experience by working as a research assistant in labs. Your question is also very general. What do you want to get research in? What are you interested in? What do you want to learn from your research experiences? Research experiences are not created equal. Some you'll be dealing with drudgery and others we'll be more interesting. I had research from the second semester of undergrad all the way until last semester of my masters so I know a lot about this subject. Like I wrote, you have to really strategize as there are a lot of possibilities for RA positions. What do you even want to do your grad work in? If you know the answer to that then search for positions in that field.

Emailing professors at your undergrad institution is a good place to start imo.

If you are an underrepresented minority in STEM check out these programs:
https://bridgetophd.facultydiversity.co ... m-overview
https://www.pathwaystoscience.org/progr ... te-Physics
If not check these out:
https://www.pathwaystoscience.org/progr ... bleYoungSc
https://www.pathwaystoscience.org/progr ... holarships
If you are looking at Biophysics/Medical Physics:
https://www.pathwaystoscience.org/progr ... stern-PREP
To find more opportunities search for "Post-baccalaureate STEM/Physics programs"
Also, check out the national labs for their post-bac programs

I just received 2 Acceptances! Though if you happen to know any summer programs that would be amazing.Only interested in the research experience in case I apply again to top 10-ish institutions. I got into a fight with the advisors here at my university due to not handling cheating in the classroom and haven't really looked into research programs.cosmologyftw wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 2:20 pmIf you are an underrepresented minority in STEM check out these programs:

There are very few summer opportunities for people with a Bachelors because once you leave you you don’t get summer break anymore. I would look at the DOE SULI programs though because some of those are shorter term. The other option is applying to internships at the national labs (I know Los Alamos has some).
