That moment when...

you realize your resume contains the wrong title to your published paper. After you submit your resume to 14 schools.

I accidentally told Washington that I wanted to study nuclear physics as my third choice (should have been Quantum Information > Atomic > Condensed Matter), but that's probably not that big of a deal. Hopefully you have more than just the title on there (date of publication, authors, place of publication, link to the paper)?

I looked at my SoPs again a week after submissions and found a some typos such as word omission and punctuation errors. I also forgot to include my CV/publications to 2 of my schools despite making checklists upon checklists telling me not to miss things! (But this doesnt include things I forget to include on the list apparently.) Whoops!

yeah i realized that in my cornell and maryland app i didn't update my cv properly (dates of employment at a couple places still said to 'present"). also, for the cornell app when listing courses and textbooks used i accidentally put girffiths e&m book under my quantum course text. and for the nsf app i had one additional citation on my research statement that wasn't used in the essay.

haven't spotted any misspellings or stating the wrong schools in the SOP.

Sounds to me like you guys all ought to rescind your applications and start applying to flip burgers at fast food joints, because with mistakes like those, your academic career is over. My condolences.

I'm assuming/hoping this is sarcasm, because I'm right there with the posters above... quite a few of my apps have tiny SOP errors and such. Hopefully it's nothing too noticeable. Oh well, good luck everyone!

Leave it to grad school applications to make you question your own sanity.

I can assure you that it wasn't. But unfortunately, I'm not sure you can take my word for it now that I've been deemed capable and suspicious of sarcasm. :|
