PGRE score

Post by wicky1987 » Thu Feb 11, 2016 3:46 am

I am in the process of applying to graduate studies in US. and following are my GRE scores,
Quantitative 162(84%)
Verbal 150(45%)
PGRE 710(53%)

Should I send my PGRE score since it's on the lower side when applying?

If the school requires it, yes. Otherwise it's up to you. If you're not considered a minority, it may be best to look for schools that don't require PGRE scores

What? I'm a white American, middle class. I only did moderately better with a 750. I applied to 12 schools and got into all 12 (including Yale, Berkeley, Cornell...) Maybe it is more difficult with a "meh" pGRE, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he should look for schools that don't require pGRE scores!

some things to consider:

1) some schools don't care about PGRE as much
2) PGRE thresholds (if they exist) are lower for women
3) PGRE thresholds (if they exist) are lower for domestic students
