2009 Putnam Exam

Did many other physics people here take this today? General sentiments about the test? Part B seemed easier than part A. Does anyone know if solutions have been posted anywhere online? I know some people write up solutions and post them really fast to show off how good they are at math, but I can't find any that have been posted yet. I think google doesn't index everything fast enough to catch changes in obscure math club web pages that happened only hours ago.

I took it. I thought that it was easier than last year, but I also wasn't nearly as mathematically mature as I am now so it's hard to say. I felt part A was easier than part B even though I answered more questions in part B.

I am curious about the set of rational numbers question in part A. We were unable to come to a concensus on whether it not it contained the rationals!
