Admission with Low Physics GRE
Admission with Low Physics GRE
I got my physics GRE score few moments ago and it is 660 (42%) . I want to apply in this fall. Is there any chances to have an admit with this low score?
Re: Admission with Low Physics GRE
It depends on your status (M/F, Domestic vs. Intl., Exp. vs Theory, etc.), but the short answer is: yes, there's hope.
Take a look at this thread (http://www.physicsgre.com/viewtopic.php?t=3669), which lists numbers for different schools for domestic, white males. You can sort of extrapolate based upon that. For example, international applicants will need to be higher than the scores listed, females can be slightly lower, theorists on the high side, someone with minority status a bit lower, etc.
