Rice U. or U. of S. California for Quant. Fld Thry

Ok, I have been trying to find info on how good these two schools are in quantum field theory / gravitation theory / high energy theory.

I have applied to both Rice University, and University of Southern California (among several other schools). I know Rice is ranked higher overall; but in quantum field theory, USC seems to have a fairly robust looking program.

Lets say I get accepted into both universities...which one should I pick? Is there a major difference in quality?

Thanks!

Lol, wait till you actually get into both. Why worry about a choice which may never materialize? And you will have more than enough time to decide when you get into both, and the open houses would give you more than enough information make an informed choice.

Practical advice, its almost something I would think of myself, haha!

That being said, if anyone has any insight into either of these programs (in quant. field thry) I would still like to hear it.
