PhD in HEP/ GRE 1100 (Q:680 V:420) /W Exp 1 year

Hi all,

Kindly evaluate my profile for PhD in High energy Physics.

GRE 1100(q:680 v: 420) / taking IELTS and PGRE in nov

BSc: 75% Bangalore University

MSc in Nuclear Phy : 72%
(MSc Topper % : 79)

No publications. One project in positron annihilation spec.
Winter School at Kodai by IIA .

WExp of 1 year in teaching (phy)

here are the Universities I wld like to apply to:

University of Florida
Syracuse univ
SUNY Buffalo
Northern Illinois Univ.
Rutgers

Also is my GRE score ok or do i need to retake . ?

Your quantitative GRE is alarming for high energy (or any physics applicant, really). You should aim for 800 or close to it. 750 at least.

i know .. i really do think its very low..
as an international applicant wld it be fine to take GRE by Dec 1 again to meet jan 1st deadlines. ???

if thats a computer based test, yes its ok.
