710 (58%). I was hoping for a 750+ at least.

Def. recommend studying only the newest (2008) exam. I could gamed this exam and get a 850+ if I had time to take it again. These exams are a joke. Only hope for me is top 80 program. O well. Applying.

I would only recommend that if it was a few days before the test and you only had time to focus on one exam. Yes, there are a few questions that will get repeated from or be eerily similar to ones on the 2008, but knowing those will only get you so far. An important skill to have is being able to solve problems that you did not anticipate, and quickly, and the best way to develop that skill is to see as many different physics questions as possible. Not to mention that the tests on different dates can be very different from each other (like the April and October tests this year).

I would say:

1st order - Know how to do every single problem on the 2008 exam.
2nd order - Know how to do every single problem on the rest of the released exams.
3rd order - Expose yourself to as many multiple choice physics problems as you can.

Hi Newton. I got exactly the same score. 710/58% . But I am an international student. What range of rank do you think I should apply. Do you have any suggestion? I am a physics MS holder with GPA 16.2/20 :| and my bach GPA was 12.24/20 :(

Probably can't apply to any very good programs. I would say top 40 is def. out of the question.

Tufts would be a good idea in this case. Catria will be ecstatic for you.

Never. That thread and all of its spinoffs were epic. Hell maybe Tufts will get more applicants this year.

Any one who took the test in Delhi, if you've got your score please let me know. I took the test at Delhi center and initially ETS site was saying that my score is unavailable or absent, now it says for my score 000 and 1%<, I am really worried what happened as I am sure I didn't do that bad and moreover the minimum score is 200. I called up the ETS today and they said keep checking it will be available soon. If anyone know about this 000 stuff or about score from Delhi center please post here. I am freaking out :(

810, 75%

I hoped to get 86% at least. :(

Yes, my score increased from the time when I take my first PGRE test. But it was THIRD time.

I started to think that I am not talented to Physics.

Although many people said PGRE is not perfect indicator to measure someones innate Physics ability. However, it also has consistency that PGRE is somewhat reliant indicator for those admission committees everywhere.

After all, I love Physics and I want to study Physics though I was not talented enough.

So I just decided to take my 4th PGRE test and registered.

OK, Anyway, take my money ET$ :D

How were your first three tests?
