GRE physics score valid period

Post by Roman_123 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 8:41 am

Hi all,
I took GRE physics at October 2015, so it will expire at October 2020.
I would like to ask whether it is possible to apply to most universities next year, which is 2020? I just ask ETS to send the score report before October 2020.
I know that MIT physics department ask applicants to send GRE physics score which are taken within 3 years.
How about other universities?
Thank you!

It depends on the admission criteria and score acceptance method each school uses:

some requires scores to be valid at application time, some at enrollment time (like Harvard, which means you have to minus 1 year).
there are also schools that accept scores on paper basis, or inputs the scores as they are received.
Some other, checks your score when they review your application.

Best check with the schools about this. It is a fair question and you will get a definitive answer.
