December 2, 2006 test cancelled in Columbia, Missouri

Post by artist » Fri Dec 01, 2006 8:17 pm

I just got a call from ETS (a voicemail, actually, since my phone didn't ring for some reason) stating the "GRE has been cancelled" and rescheduled for December 6. I reside in Columbia, Missouri and we got owned by a snow storm last night, and apparently ETS thinks it will still be too dangerous or too difficult to travel tomorrow. Either that or my physics buddies are trying to take my spot at my choice universities by making me think there's no GRE tomorrow.

Any body else get this call? ETS has no info on their website that I can find about this. I'm not sure if this is worldwide or a regional thing.

I'm on hold with ETS and will post more if they ever take my call.

Apparently it's just a regional thing. I don't know what regions are affected, but certainly a bunch of Missouri and Illinois at least.

Also the lady on the phone told me the test was rescheduled for December 9, which contradicts the info I got from the voicemail earlier. I guess I'll be calling them again next week to confirm the test date.
