Just want to know, if I take Physics GRE on Nov 13, 2010, when can I get my score? The deadline of some universities is Dec 1, 2010, will I miss them? Thanks~ :)

It usually takes 6 weeks after you take the exam for ETS to report your scores. So if you take it on November 13th, it is most likely your scores will not be available until after 12/1. However, universities do realize this and there usually isn't a problem if your GRE scores arrive a little past the deadline as long as the application itself is complete.

A lot of schools who have a deadline of Dec 1st are just using that as a weed-out measure (at least that's my opinion). Last year, UT had a deadline of Dec 1st and they didn't start sending out responses until mid-Feb. By comparison, a lot of other programs had deadlines of Jan 1 - 15 and they started sending out responses around the same time (programs with just as many applicants).

So if you get your application in on time, you should be fine. Like twinb87 said, your GRE scores can arrive late.

I, too, have to take the physics GRE soon, although I missed the deadline, so I have to wait until April I think...JMK Design
