Another way to alleviate boredom while learning and teaching physics is the Physics Stack Exchange:

One can post questions and answers to others questions, as well as comments. The entertaining par of it is that other users can rate your answers good or bad.

It turns out that Physics Stack Exchange has a lot of my cohorts on it (and a few people that are competent, LOL). The questions are entertaining.
