Nov 3rd Test
Nov 3rd Test
I just got done taking the Nov 3rd Test. I'm not sure if everyone takes the same test, but everyone I talked to at my testing location had taken the same test as me. The test seemed extremely easy. On the practice tests I normally answer about 80 questions, this time I answered 90. I'm curious to see if others who took the test feel the same way.

I also take the test. I just answered 80 questions and waiting something aroun 65 as raw score. I thought that it is a little bit difficult then the 0177. Yes the questions at the beggining are easy but the questions at the end parts are a little bit difficult. We will learn it in 6 weeks
I wonder ıf anyone remember the termodynamic question about [[Deleted by Moderator 11/8/07]]

I thought that the Nov 3 test was pretty comparable to the 0177. I finished that practice test with 20 minutes to go back over problems I skipped, but on the test day I was down to the last 7 questions with 10 minutes to go.
It didn't help that we didn't have desks at our test center, we only had these tiny writing surfaces attached to the arm rest. I actually measured it with my envelope, just for a record of how tiny it was! Something like 8.5 x 7.5! I had to balance the test booklet on my knee, scratch paper on the writing part, and hold the answer sheet on with my elbow! Certainly wasn't ideal... but whew, it's good to have it done...

oh geez yes those pathetic little lecture hall surfaces they made us take the test on... Mine too was totally eclipsed by my GRE admission ticket, which means it was smaller than an 8.5x11 paper. I held the left page of booklet with my left hand, rested the seam on my knee and had the right side on the "table." I marked my answers in the test book first and then put them in the answer sheet later since there was no room for the answer sheet. I don't know whose inconsideration is the blame for us having to put up with that... whether it's ETS or the test center. I was also distracted by a hissing noise coming from the ceiling... I ripped off some pieces of the cover page and stuffed it in my ears to block it out. Ugh.

quizivex,
haha, improvised ear plugs!
It was homecoming weekend at the college I tested at. Fortunately all of us test takes arrived early enough so it didn't really affect us. But after we got out, it was a zoo out there.
One guy had a 'writing surface' (can't quite call it a desk) that fell off twice, so finally the administrator's moved his seat. I checked my bolt and it was hanging by a few threads, so I managed to tighten it up.
Seeesh!

Thanks self-adjoint...I thought this test was easier than the 0177...on this one i finished 98 questions while on 0177 i finished more like 90...but i'm not really sure. If I had to guess I would guess a perfect score would be around 87 or 88 for mine...but hopefully i'm wrong!
I guess we'll just have to see.
Grae, you're right...I apologize. I will edit out all my posts. We can discuss the test in private

Does anyone else here think the 0177 test was the hardest of the four? I HATED that test and would have done terribly if I was given that on test day.
How would you compare your October/November 2007 tests in difficulty to the 8677 test? That test had the same scaling as the 0177 but I thought the problems were much more reasonable and fair.
