hi everyone

i am a student doing b.tech in mechanical engineering. i am deeply interested in physics and would like to move into GRADUATE physics in a good university abroad. currently i am preparing for the gre general test. please answer a few questions which have been troubling me for quite some time.

1 . is this kind of a shift advisable? i mean , is it easy to survive ?( because i haven't done undergrad in physics. )

2 . what are the usual problems faced by people moving into graduate physics from non physics undergrad backgrounds ?

3 . what happens if i am unable to cope up with the physics course ?
