Moment of Inertia!!

Post by Riazul20 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 11:49 am

So my teacher gave me this question and i have no idea how to solve it!! It is due tomorrow!!

a)Calculate the moment of inertia of an equilateral triange lamina about any of its corner about an axis perpendicular to the plane.
b) Find the moment of inertia through the center of mass about the similar axis of the triangle.
Pls help me!! :oops:

1.If there are different masses on the three sides of the triangle then :
I = m1a^2 + m2a^2

2. I = m1x^2 + m2x^2 + m3x^2
